Last one for the road...

.....we have finally come to an end for our SIL april anniversary challenges.

Six LOs already?? So fast?? As in its end of April ??

*SOBS** I've been enjoying the 5 days challenge, hence why I participated in all 6. Cant believe it myself but I've gotten the scrapbug to keep going. (=

Here is my last LO...

Found a cute yellow cupcake in my stash, so I added that in with some stickles on the cherry.

I didn't have any yellow alphas so I decided to paint them with my nail polish.
Oh and I didn't have yellow acrylic paint too...

Korean nail polish:: 2 for RM5 (cant beat the price)
Results: Better than I expected, it had a glossy finished to it. Perfect!

Terribly distressed lollipop flower....LOL

Inspired by the cupcake wrapping which had the flower. I thought it would look cute as my pic border.

Yellow splashes is to imitate the cupcake sprinkles.
And pearl pins inspired by some pearl toppings....mmmm, delicious!

SIL April Challenge - LO no.5

Vintage feel

Josie's Penang wedding date

Its a long story why the typewriter is on the LO, but both of us know the reason *smile*

Polka dot feathers, used as corsages at her wedding.

Lollipop flower learned from Jessy was heavily distressed with crumpling, tearing, ink, spritz and perfect pearls

"Alex and Josie's vintage wedding"
She was a GORGEOUS bride....
....and a perfect Vintage themed wedding.

To the bride who journeyed with me for almost a year, planing for our one & only dream day.... *Cheers!*
It was indeed a surreal moment to see you in a wedding gown walking down the reception aisle.
It was "THE MOMENT" for Mr & Mrs. Yeap.

Both Aaron and I are thrilled to be a part of this special occasion.
THANK YOU sweetie for the company, I know we had many "stressed & giving up moments" but we always had each other's shoulders to cry on, to encourage and to find budgeted solutions...LOL!
Now, we have been married for 3 months!! Yeay!
No more BTB (Bride-to-be) alerts but I will always cherish our journey.
**HUGGGSSS**

Some closed up pics from the previous LO

I totally heart this Chipboard title from My Mind's Eye. I use perfect pearls to add some shine.

And I adore this paper. Its soooo pretty that I didnt want to cover it. I glossy accent the hot air ballons & stamped a chandelier over it.

Cute scallops and the doily lace is heavily distressed with gold perfect pearls. So pretty.

My lovely owls!! (=

This may be my most favorite accent in the whole LO.
OooOooo, so in love with that punch.
Too cute!

Here you go...my take on the 4th challenge.

I must say, I found this challenge very challenging. (eyes rolling, well yea, it is a challenge) LOL!

Third SIL challenge this month

Meet my boys..Raul & Mikhail

Heart them to pieces.

Hand cut the monsters from October Afternoon paper.
I realized that since I'm not a mother yet, I have very few kiddies embellishments.
Strangely enough, i did manage to find some....hehe

Vibrant Colors..

Happy Patterns

Stamped this thickers with News print stamp (Prima)
Looks pretty cool huh? Kinda like how that turned out.

Painted the 'B' & 'Y' chipboard black, originally pale blue. Was not too particular about the strokes, which gave it a bit of a distressed look.
The birdie is a button, cut off the shanks and glued to the paper.
Oh now that I remember, I have not washed my paint brush yet....must have harden already. Haih!

"These are the two of my Favorite Boys"

They are my super cutie patootie cousins.

Absolutely too adorable for words....

Ahhhh, my heart melts everytime I think of them.

SIL challenge - LO no.2

Layout no.2 for SIL's April Challenge. For some strange reason, I am more productive with the 5 days deadline. Since I'm still a baby scrapper, it takes me around 4-5 hours to complete one..... but it does feel like my creative mojo is out and I'm in scrapbook heaven!

To enter SIL challenge, pls go to Scrap-it-lah.

One of the challenge was to incorporated butterflies on our LO. As my martha stewart punches are still in the wish list, I have zero butterfly punches *tsk, tsk , tsk*.
So to work around that, I stamp some prima butterflies on acetate and cut it out.

Purple flowers from Prima Ornaments, won previously from SIL. Added in some plum berries from local craft stores and some cut outs from Webster Pages.

Title for my layout : "The long awaited TEA"
Small doilies spritz with mud brown acrylic paint.
I love how this turned out (=

Tiny butterflies, stamped and cut out. I lost a few in the process of cutting.....

BLINGS!!!

.....and more Blings!!! One of the elements needed on our LOs.
I could not get hold of any Prima blings as the challenge only last for 5 days, so instead I picked up some handphone blings. Well it fitted in perfectly. *Smiles*

TADA!! The finished layout.

I love the color of this paper and the small birds.
To make the white birdies stand out, i stamped a journaling stamp around it.

{Aside to the embellishments and technique used on this LO, my favorite part is the journaling. Confessions of the little things I missed most.}

Two LOs down, 4 more to go.....
I'll be waiting..

Scrap-it-lah challenge by Michelle

After winning the March challenge from Scrap-it-lah, I was motivated to join more challenges.

It was such a pleasant surprise. Yeay. I've entered countless RAKs & giveaways but I've never won anything.....but this month I was in Awe! Thank you SIL, you really motivated me to scrap more and also to buy more...LOL. Do check them out by clicking the link above or the side bar.

I sprayed the cream rose with my DIY spritz, trim it down and glued to the leaf. The victorian frame is from Prima...I just stamped on Transparency, cut it out and adhered 'friends' kraft sticker and raised it with some foam tape.

DIY embellishment
1. Made the flower from a paper doily,
2. spritz with color
3. inked the edges
4. Add flowers, butterfly, kraft stickers and pearl strip...

.....and vohla, a personalized embellishment.

- Part of the challenge was to have stamping and journaling on the LOs.
So I stamped the journaling box on transparency, journaled and had it cut out.
-Added some butterfly rub-ons and title to complete the LO.

Materials used: Kraft paper, Shimmer cream paper from Auzzie, Velum paper from Mookz, Prima stamps, Pink Paisley rub-ons, Black Staz-on, Friskars scallop edge punch, Marth stewart doily edge punch, Type writer font sticker, sakura gel pen.
