Vintage at heart

...is what we are.

Hello Friends. How have you been?

I have been crazy wonky busy, working till 2am almost every morning, deadline after deadlines. I need my precious sleep.

We're stepping into advent on 1st Dec, and I need to find the time to savor this beautiful season, time to pause and appreciate the things around me, time to spend with my beautiful loved ones. I've been running around like a headless chicken, time to put all that to rest. I still think that December is coming too fast, but none the less, I am excited. :)

Just a little bit on the LO below. I used an Elle's studio sketch. Unfortunately I have been having some problems attaching pics to blogger. So here's the link to the sketch : http://ellesstudio.blogspot.com/2012/11/sketch-thursday-1122.html

Anybody facing the same problem?

So back to the LO, we just enjoyed our day walking down the old streets of Penang, eating, laughing, photographing, eating, celebrated Jas's birthday and more eating. LOL. I love this PP from pebbles, it reminds me of vintage wall paper and curtains. So cute! Have a great day peeps!!

Blessed Thursday!

Card for a little one

Its been a while since I made a baby card.

And honestly I do not have that many baby supplies, I guess when the time is right, I would have a collection? :)

Babies, babies, babies, babies overloaded for 2012 eh....but I simply adore them, they make me smile.

Just a simple card.

You have a lovely mid-week!

BUSY!

Hello Friends.

How have you been. I've not blogged for a week. WOW, so caught up with Choreographing new dances for the christmas musical & work load has been a bummer.

Was working till 2am last night. *Yawn*. I did sneak a little time to play with some goodies (while waiting for my files to be uploaded). :)

Was not planing to create the covers for my December Daily yet, but when I saw this cut out, it was perfect. Wanted a simple album, loaded with Pictures...YAY!

December is coming a tad too fast, I need to close all my action items first....arghhhhh!!!

What about you? Are you in the bandwagon for december daily? :)

2 more cards down. YAY!

Poinsettia, also known as the Christmas Star is pretty isn't it?

We always have a few pots of Poinsettia around the house, it just changes the atmosphere. :)

I thought I'll make something with them on cards. Enjoy!

Finally got to use the gold washi. Perfect for christmas!

Blessed Wednesday!!

It seems...

...that I am on a roll, but really I am just channeling all my overwhelm-ness.

Work load is massive!! And also I have some creative orders to make, so before the actual deadline hits, I better start making them at my own pace.

Christmas Musical finally kick-start on saturday, I have 3-4 dance pieces to choreograph & teach...then we have Christmas Open House @ Esplanade, and I have my Grandma's 80th celebration @ Bali. To top it up, we have to get our house decorated and clean. All I need is supernatural strength & wisdom. :)

Not too happy with the stiching, so I've rip it out, and will re-sew the card this evening.

---------------------------------------------------------
Thought I'll blog about my last saturday...
Visited the cemetery, so we got bunches of pretty flowers. It was blazing hot!!

Then I rushed to Smidapaper, after which we lunched with our soon-to-be mommy, Jessy. She looks so good pregnant, she radiats. I'm sure she will be a very good mommy.

I cant help but laugh at Cindy's story about eating scones. Eating them will definitely be different now. LOL!

Then it was off to visit Aaron's uncle, who was visiting from Auzzy.

...and then it was a quick shower back home, then I packed some clothes for Greeen Bananas and it was off to church.

I was zonked out!

So in a nutshell, thats how eventful my saturday went. LOL!

Blessed Tuesday!!

My calling.

Hello friends.

Its wonderful to have the weekend come again right? As usual, my weekends are way busier than my weekdays. Virtually no such thing as extra sleep time. :)

Let me introduce to you Kingdom Dancers, a dance ministry of SWYF (shalom working youth Fellowship). We have always been known as 'dance ministry', but this year, everything advanced when I had the call to name the ministry 'Kingdom Dancers'.

I thought it was the end of my calling when I tore my left knee ligament back in 2010. I literally stopped dancing for about 10 months. Totally heartbroken and I knew things would never be the same again, but little did I know that God had a bigger plan for me. In September of 2011, I got an invitation to participate in Project Dance. To cut the long story short, I danced again after my break...it was the toughest, there were so many things that I couldn't do, my turns were not fast enough, my pointe was not really pointed and it was FRUSTRATING. As a dancer it is our pride and joy to be technically strong, but at that point, it seemed that I have regressed.

I cried many nights, always questioning if this is something I should continue "Is there light at the end of this tunnel??" With the encouragement of Aaron, I persisted and carried through. I survived all the practices with knee guards & knee braces (with extra muscle aches too) and came the weekend....I made it! I made it through all the massive dancing for 3 days (including the killer workshops) & I danced on stage with Cheryl Cutlip (the founder of Project Dance), I even had coffee with her. It was such a dream come thru.

Having gone thru this experience just encourages me to continue dancing. God has made me a strong girl & nothing can stand in the way when He calls, absolutely NOTHING. When everything else fails, GOD can!

So NO, it is not the end of my calling, it is the beginning of a very beautiful journey. Praise the Lord.

Very quickly on the LO below. God blessed us with a 3 panel portable mirrors which cost us almost RM2k, and it was sponsored by SWYF. We are so honored and grateful.

A little longer than usual, but I wanted to share my heart.

Blessed Weekend.

Yours Truly

Happy dance today when I got my Studio Calico's October add on kits. I was over the moon.

Thank you to Cindy & Josie for gifting one of the kits to me. Its hilarious to know how far and long this package traveled to reach me...but its worth the wait.

I am so so in love with this paper. I wanted more. Peachy Pink is my latest color love.

This kit coordinated so well that it made it so easy to create. Since I'm thinking of framing this LO, I hid the journalling in the cutesy envelope.

You have a blessed day.
