He is the Reason..

As we begin Advent... I am reminded that HE is the reason for this season.

So many things to be grateful for 2012 and it is only by the Grace of God that I got this far. :) Indeed I am blessed. This is my season of rejoicing.

Let us take some time to reflect on the things we're grateful for and also for the things we're least grateful.

Wishing all my lovely friends a Blessed Season.

God Bless.

Vintage at heart

...is what we are.

Hello Friends. How have you been?

I have been crazy wonky busy, working till 2am almost every morning, deadline after deadlines. I need my precious sleep.

We're stepping into advent on 1st Dec, and I need to find the time to savor this beautiful season, time to pause and appreciate the things around me, time to spend with my beautiful loved ones. I've been running around like a headless chicken, time to put all that to rest. I still think that December is coming too fast, but none the less, I am excited. :)

Just a little bit on the LO below. I used an Elle's studio sketch. Unfortunately I have been having some problems attaching pics to blogger. So here's the link to the sketch : http://ellesstudio.blogspot.com/2012/11/sketch-thursday-1122.html

Anybody facing the same problem?

So back to the LO, we just enjoyed our day walking down the old streets of Penang, eating, laughing, photographing, eating, celebrated Jas's birthday and more eating. LOL. I love this PP from pebbles, it reminds me of vintage wall paper and curtains. So cute! Have a great day peeps!!

Blessed Thursday!

Babies, babies, babies, babies overloaded for 2012 eh....but I simply adore them, they make me smile.

Just a simple card.

You have a lovely mid-week!

BUSY!

Hello Friends.

How have you been. I've not blogged for a week. WOW, so caught up with Choreographing new dances for the christmas musical & work load has been a bummer.

Was working till 2am last night. *Yawn*. I did sneak a little time to play with some goodies (while waiting for my files to be uploaded). :)

Was not planing to create the covers for my December Daily yet, but when I saw this cut out, it was perfect. Wanted a simple album, loaded with Pictures...YAY!

December is coming a tad too fast, I need to close all my action items first....arghhhhh!!!

What about you? Are you in the bandwagon for december daily? :)

2 more cards down. YAY!

Poinsettia, also known as the Christmas Star is pretty isn't it?

We always have a few pots of Poinsettia around the house, it just changes the atmosphere. :)

I thought I'll make something with them on cards. Enjoy!

Finally got to use the gold washi. Perfect for christmas!

Blessed Wednesday!!

It seems...

...that I am on a roll, but really I am just channeling all my overwhelm-ness.

Work load is massive!! And also I have some creative orders to make, so before the actual deadline hits, I better start making them at my own pace.

Christmas Musical finally kick-start on saturday, I have 3-4 dance pieces to choreograph & teach...then we have Christmas Open House @ Esplanade, and I have my Grandma's 80th celebration @ Bali. To top it up, we have to get our house decorated and clean. All I need is supernatural strength & wisdom. :)

Not too happy with the stiching, so I've rip it out, and will re-sew the card this evening.

---------------------------------------------------------
Thought I'll blog about my last saturday...
Visited the cemetery, so we got bunches of pretty flowers. It was blazing hot!!

Then I rushed to Smidapaper, after which we lunched with our soon-to-be mommy, Jessy. She looks so good pregnant, she radiats. I'm sure she will be a very good mommy.

I cant help but laugh at Cindy's story about eating scones. Eating them will definitely be different now. LOL!

Then it was off to visit Aaron's uncle, who was visiting from Auzzy.

...and then it was a quick shower back home, then I packed some clothes for Greeen Bananas and it was off to church.

I was zonked out!

So in a nutshell, thats how eventful my saturday went. LOL!

Blessed Tuesday!!

My calling.

Hello friends.

Its wonderful to have the weekend come again right? As usual, my weekends are way busier than my weekdays. Virtually no such thing as extra sleep time. :)

Let me introduce to you Kingdom Dancers, a dance ministry of SWYF (shalom working youth Fellowship). We have always been known as 'dance ministry', but this year, everything advanced when I had the call to name the ministry 'Kingdom Dancers'.

I thought it was the end of my calling when I tore my left knee ligament back in 2010. I literally stopped dancing for about 10 months. Totally heartbroken and I knew things would never be the same again, but little did I know that God had a bigger plan for me. In September of 2011, I got an invitation to participate in Project Dance. To cut the long story short, I danced again after my break...it was the toughest, there were so many things that I couldn't do, my turns were not fast enough, my pointe was not really pointed and it was FRUSTRATING. As a dancer it is our pride and joy to be technically strong, but at that point, it seemed that I have regressed.

I cried many nights, always questioning if this is something I should continue "Is there light at the end of this tunnel??" With the encouragement of Aaron, I persisted and carried through. I survived all the practices with knee guards & knee braces (with extra muscle aches too) and came the weekend....I made it! I made it through all the massive dancing for 3 days (including the killer workshops) & I danced on stage with Cheryl Cutlip (the founder of Project Dance), I even had coffee with her. It was such a dream come thru.

Having gone thru this experience just encourages me to continue dancing. God has made me a strong girl & nothing can stand in the way when He calls, absolutely NOTHING. When everything else fails, GOD can!

So NO, it is not the end of my calling, it is the beginning of a very beautiful journey. Praise the Lord.

Former rockettes & Founder of project dance: Cheryl Cutlip

Very quickly on the LO below. God blessed us with a 3 panel portable mirrors which cost us almost RM2k, and it was sponsored by SWYF. We are so honored and grateful.

A little longer than usual, but I wanted to share my heart.

Blessed Weekend.

Yours Truly

Happy dance today when I got my Studio Calico's October add on kits. I was over the moon.

Thank you to Cindy & Josie for gifting one of the kits to me. Its hilarious to know how far and long this package traveled to reach me...but its worth the wait.

I am so so in love with this paper. I wanted more. Peachy Pink is my latest color love.

This kit coordinated so well that it made it so easy to create. Since I'm thinking of framing this LO, I hid the journalling in the cutesy envelope.

You have a blessed day.

Peace. Love. Joy.

Oh boy, I'm so loving this sentiment stamp.

That little teal reindeer inspired this card. So to highlight this guy, I added a pearl on his garland. Washi-ed the tag, add a sentiment and some blings, and vohla, a super simple card. :)

If you are looking for the same washi tape,do drop by Cardpucinno to get yours.

Christmas please take your time to come, I still have loads to do.

Wishing you folks a happy day!!

The most wonderful time of the year.

While October is my most favorite month of the year, Christmas is the my most favorite time of the year. :)

So many things to do before christmas hits, and before we know it, we'll be welcoming 2013.

2012 has been a wonderful year, not all smooth sailing.....pretty challenging at times but it is a year of great significance of growth & maturity.

As October comes to an end, let us cherish the last 2 months of the year with great Joy, Love & Peace.

*SMILE* Its gonna be a beautiful day.

Smile & remember my victories

Hello dear friends,

SMILE! its mid week. :)

I'm not a fan of the word "s t r e s s", I prefer to term it as overwhelming. This pass 1.5 weeks have been VERY overwhelming for me, a lot of anxiety & tears but God is great, I stood on His words & He delivered me.

At the peak of everything, I just stop, surrendered & confessed Ps 77.

Ps 77:11-14

11 I will remember the deeds of the Lord;
yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.
12 I will consider all your works
and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”
13 Your ways, God, are holy.
What god is as great as our God?
14 You are the God who performs miracles;
you display your power among the peoples.
I remembered my Victories and again, with God on my side, I WON!!

So just a little something I made to take my mind off work, something pretty scraplifted from two peas in a bucket. :)

Faux weaving card. Such a fun way to use up scraps. Definitely will try more variation with this technique.

Have a good day my lovely friends.

Smile & remember the Victories that God has won for you!

Hi Poser Boy

LOL. Hello Monday. Embracing you with a smile. Take that!

I completed a fun LO last night. Everything came so fast together and I was so excited to stack, stack & stack.

Nothing beats a full blown crafty urge waiting to explode. :)

It was totally unexpected to meet this little one at motofun last saturday morning. He was a darling.

In love with this layout!!! YAY!!

It all started out with this paperbag, was so inspired by the pink hearts.
Aint it cute? And a lovely match to Lucas's romper, it was pinkish red. :)

My washi tapes came in this cute little bag.

Yummylicous washi tapes from Cardpucinno. If you have not check out their little shop, do drop by to stock up on some lovely washis.

Congratulations again Josie & Cindy for this cute shop. *hugsss*

This card makes me happy

I love confettis. Do you? They make me happy.

Scraplifted this card from Celine's blog: http://www.celinenavarro.com/2012/10/inspiration-thursday-with-melissa.html by Melissa. I was immediately inspired and couldnt wait to leave work.

So this is my version of the card. I'm so happy with how it turned out. Please excuse the crooked sewing...LOL, its kinda slippery stiching on plastic.

Seriously, I had to literally stop myself from putting anymore cutesies into this plastic. Super Love.

A happy girl when I see something completed. Yay!

Would you like to know what changed my style of scrapbooking? :)

Happy Memories.

Just Do nothing night

Hello Friday. I welcome you with open arms.

This week is quite a busy week for me, busy at work and also busy attending meetings from Mon- Thurs....and tonight I have church. A little bit sleep deprived, only getting sleep 4-5 hours a night. Kinda looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow, but not for long, coz we need to clean our house.

Anyways, I squeezed in some time to create this LO.

This is one of those LOs where I'm not too sure if I should add more embellishments or leave it as it is....hmmmm....

I ran out of 'S' in this pack of thickers, so I substitute it with '5', not too obvious right?

I remember this night very clearly. I was soo zonked out from work, came back.... took my bath and just parked myself in front of the tv. We were suppose to eat out, but I just couldnt move...in fact I was in my boxers n tank, ready to ZzzzZZ. Aaron was so sweet, he offered to make dinner...just a simple red sauce pasta. It was So so delicious, that I had 2 helpings. After which, he wash the dishes and tucked me to bed.

What a blessed girl I am right? Indeed. How Sweet it is to be loved by him.

Little moments worth cherishing. :)

Have a wonderful weeekend.

Boy am I on a roll here.

Aha. So surprise myself. (Go Sharon!)

I think whats leading me to create so much in the last one month is my Printer & Instagram(love, love, love). Its the best tool & App for scrappers. I find it so liberating to be able to select pictures in my PJs and print them as and when I want. Oh and Instagram (mamamia), where do I begin that I'm soooo in love with this app? I love how the convenience of a mobile camera can turn into something so pretty. So LOVE!!!

Created this Layout last week.

Very meaningful LO for me. Lots of funny moments with this dinner. First of all, look at the size of this Australian crab claw? Its hugeeee, and of coz it came with a big price tag too. 3 crabs for RM600+ , truly a jaw breaker moment...LOL. Our dinner that night cost us RM1200++.

IT was indeed the highlight of our mini reunion in KL. :)

Have a blessed day.

Crafting accidents turned pretty. :)

Oh how I enjoyed creating this LO. It was so fun & inspiring and MESSY!!!

If you look close enough at the picture below, I started out by splattering white paint, it was literally all over my desk but my paper....arghhhh. So I decided that white was too subtle and changed it to black ink.....it just went SPLAT......I was like damn....but I gave it a second look and it was kinda pretty actually. LOL. Almost like a picasso feel to it, dont you think so? hahahhaha.

Perfect FIT!!
Loving my new ballet flats, I've been wearing it everywhere. So super comfy & CUTE!!. And and I love love the Amy Tangerine date stamp, cant get enough of it. :)

Isnt it cute?? {LOVE, LOVE, LOVE}

Keep creating my dear friends. Blessed week 41.

xoxo

My little sunshine.

This girl turned 4 on Sep 26th.

Isnt she such a cutie? We are absolutely crazy over her.

This paper was perfect for her....they have the same hair style. LOL. {Loves}

Just a simple & fun LO to remember what are her favorites at the moment. They really grow very fast.

Have a blessed week 41!!

I love you FRIDAY!!

This sneak is now ready to be revealed. Drumroll please.

Hello there....

The good news is, this card is made mostly from scraps.

The picture below, shows a little craft boo boo. I accidently ink the other stamp which was stuck on the same block, then I tried cleaning it with wet tissue (silly move, I know, it sorta tore the paper)....so to cover the mistake...

Tada!! Cover it with a butterfly or any embellishment.

Such a simple card, and I used my scraps. YAY!

Have a blessed weekend friends. :)

Inking on Layouts:: Tutorial

My first tutorial.

Basically I just wanna share a very cool way of inking Layouts.  :)

Here goes...

1. Purchase any black ink from your local stationary shop. I used a marker refill ink but I'm guessing the effects from a fountain pen ink would be nicer.

2. The ink comes with a tiny plastic pump which allows you to pick up the ink.

3. Just sprinkle & have fun!!! (This ink tends to bleed a little on the paper), so I would suggest to try it first on scrap paper.

So here you have it. Simple, Messy-less, no wash & cheap.

If you try it, let me know.

Happy Crafting!!

xoxo

Its Mid week.

Hello dear friends,

I'm inspired by this phrase " You are exactly where you need to be". Puts a smile on my face & gives me fuel to continue my 9-5 job.

When its time to go, I will go. Are you in the same position as I am? Do not be discouraged, all in HIS time.

I'm just enjoying the everyday life. When I have a little extra time, I craft! It is indeed theraputic for me.

Remember this sneek?

Embossed Washi tapes. So Love!!

I scraplifted this card from a crafter. (Cant really remember who, but Thank you!!) it is such a brilliant design. I love how clean the white embossed background looked. One of my favorite cards so far. Dont we just love anything banner inspired? Such a hot trend. :)

------------------------------------------------------------
Psssst, I was a busy girl last night. Creating a LO. YAYness, so so happy.

What have you been up too?
