Eye Candy

All these things still make my heart flutter.

I thank God for gifting me with creative talents.

*Smilling to myself*, what a long way I've come since 2006 when I discovered the world of scrapbooking. There is so so much joy in creating.

Some cards I created recently. Still loving the minimalist approach to crafting. :)

Enjoy your Thursday evening. I hope this posting will help you to create something beautiful today.

Half year mark @ Hin Bus Depot Pop up Market

Congratulations to Pretty Blessings, celebrating our 1/2 year mark at Pop Up Markets. We started selling in August of 2016, so technically 7 months have gone by and we are loving every single Pop Up. I am so thankful that we braved ourselves for this new adventure, not knowing what the response would be like, just going by faith.

I remember vividly last July when I signed up to join Hin Bus Depot Pop up Market, I was terribly nervous and cracking my head for the table set up. Oh how quickly those moments have passed, and today I can proudly say we have done 20+ markets. Big YAY!

I am planing to compile a list to-dos for first timers/ or for those who are thinking of exploring Pop up markets. If you have any questions, do leave me a comment. :)

We will be at Hin pop up this Sunday 26th Feb from 11am-5pm. Do drop by and say hello.

Pop up Market / Craft Market

I must apologise for not blogging the whole of last week. I was really busy preparing for my first craft stall. Yes my first, so you can imagine my excitement and also some uncertainty of what to expect. So after many many years of dreaming and wishing that I'll be brave enough to participate in a craft market, that day finally came.

The timing was perfect and I had a blast. The feeling was just so right, just a strong knowing that I'm at the right place. Thank you Jesus.

I had a really simple set up, no frills....just wanted my handmade cards to shine. As for now, the cards display is working but I would need to brainstorm for something that can hold more. Btw, I'm loving the natural lighting in this place.

Thank you Emili for purchasing some cards. It was so good to see you and baby Kai.  Happy camper. Yay!

If you are in Penang, do come by on Sundays to Hin Bus Depot from 11am-5pm for the pop up market. Lots of homemade food too, so come by for lunch or tea.

Monochromatic Love

So satisfied and happy with the above minimalist and monochromatic cards.

At first I thought it was way too simple and lacking some embellishments. When I completed the cards it was pass midnight, so I thought I'll sleep over it. This morning when I saw the cards again, I just loved it and decided to keep it as it is. I'm a happy girl.

Happy Mid week peeps. :)

A baby card

Created something simple last night. Love love the color yellow on baby cards.

Just looking at the card makes me happy. Awwww, something so magical and beautiful about babies yea?

I am still waiting for our turn to conceive our bundle of joy. Waiting, waiting for the last 5 years. While waiting for our turn, He has been good to put a few god-children, nieces, nephew and even younger cousins into our life. They have been a joy.

Recently I learned that, He allows people with the same breakthrough which we prayed for (which we have NOT received YET) to cross our paths for a reason. It is not to aggravate or to compare ourselves, but rather to test if we can celebrate the breakthroughs and victories in other people's life. Some may ask, "Why would He do that?" I believe that He is more interested in our character building than what we can receive or give.

Being able to celebrate the victories and breakthroughs of others (especially the ones which we desire & want so badly - Yes I gotta emphasise that part) requires a genuine heart. A heart without jealousy, malice, anger..... A heart so full of God's love, a heart without comparison and a heart that is not judgemental.

Phew~ I admit, I definitely struggle. But I'm learning.... and readjusting my mindset so that I can have His heart in mine.

It is also good encouragement to be surrounded with people of your desired breakthroughs because, If God can bless them, He can surely bless us too. He is after all a good good Father and He only desires the best for us.

So chin up! Lift your eyes up for your desired breakthroughs are coming. Let us all have hearts that is exploding with His love and go on, try celebrating the victories of others, it is so so liberating.

I wish you Peace and Joy.

P/S: I would love to hear from you. :)

I love you

Keeping it simple is my kinda eye candy at the moment. They call it the minimalist approach. :)

I will be creating more stuff in the coming weeks, so stay tune and hopefully you can tune in everyday for a daily dose of Sharon *winks*

Today has been a good day for me. A day of researching and planing out future actions for my career path. I won't be revealing too much and its still in consideration stage but whatever the outcome, I know that my 2016 will end with a BAM! I am hopeful God is on my side and He will give me the wisdom to carry out my plans.

My heart is full. What is your story today? *hugss*

Engine's warmed up. Lets go!

Since crafting is my passion. I'm just gonna go all out, I should be revealing my good news in November. :)

Here's a card order I made, two days ago. Oh how I've missed piecing things together....it makes my heart smile. Thank You God for making a way for me.

I guess this blog won't be dusty anymore. *winks*

Take care.

Project Updates.

Finally completed one spread of PL which has been sitting on my desk for like months. This was a July spread. haha. Oh dear, im so behind.

After completing the spread, I just felt like creating a card, something simple and yet modern. Loving how CAS this card turned out to be. Due to bad lighting, the card is actually prettier in person. :)

Am slowly getting back into my crafting groove, also trying to cope with some major transitions. Excited yet somewhat anxious about the unknown territory. Faith in action is trusting.

Alright, wishing you beautiful mid-week. :)

Another card.

Good Morning.

Am having a super tight schedule again.

Really need to get back on track with Project life....but no fret, I can do a monthly spread if needed. ;)

In the mean time, creating cards is satisfying my random urges. Haha. I know temporary satisfaction, but its working. :)

Thats all from me. Short post. Give me a couple of months and I should be consistently blogging again. I'm the midst of a huge transition, say a prayer for me. Take care peeps.

Bundle of Joy

Hello Lovelies,

I love to create baby cards, they make me smile. What a joy right.

I am still waiting, waiting to become a mummy. The wait is long, only God knows when little peanut will arrive but I hope and anticipate for his/her arrival.

Truly no words can console a waiting parent, but what is needed is prayers and a sensitive heart. :)

Happy Thursday peeps!

Oh happy Day

.....coz am back to crafting.

Had a change of routine in last 3-4 weeks, basically after work, if I dont have any church practices or meetings, I will just chill at home and be in His presence. I know that my PL weeks are piling up but I was totally not inspired to craft, so I just allowed my body to rest. :)

I should listen to my body more often, sometimes it just wants to repair and reset, if that makes any sense.

Last night while hubs were watching Les Miserable for the hump-tine times, I decided to sneak into my craft room and create this simple card.

It was really a super simple card, made from some scrap paper and my butterfly punch, which I've neglected for a while.

Happy to create beautiful things again. :)

Have a great week.

Tragic Friday

Hello Friends.

Tragic Friday for us Malaysians.

Slightly before midnight on 17/07, I receive a text saying that a Malaysian plane has crashed in Ukraine. I thought it was a hoax until I channel surfed to CNN....tragically enough, the plane crash has been confirmed.

MH17 has been shot down and at present, no survivors....a whooping total of 295 passengers including crew members on board. I was speechless. My heart totally sadden. My eyes swelled up with tears. I couldn't understand the sadness, I was totally disturbed.

A short while later, Aaron came home. We watched the live updates on CNN, trying to figure out what in the world happened. Then Aaron turned to me and said, dear.. I'm so glad you are here & you didn't blow up in midair. We exchange a silent agreement, trying to hold back the tears in my eyes. You see, 2 months ago, I was flying across the same Ukraine route from Heathrow to KL by MAS, in a Boeing 777. Who would have predicted that another aviation tragedy would take place after MH370, seriously...in a short span of 4 months.

I was restless until about 2am. Too many questions, too many 'what ifs' situations on my mind. I could only surrender to God.

Today, I woke up still feeling quite shock & sad.....but I am also thankful that I am alive, I am reminded to be grateful for the things around me.

Before I received news about MH17, I was actually crafting. Thank you God for the gift of creativity & a space I can call my own.

Here's a simple card created with scrap papers. I hoarded the rosette ribbons a few years back, think its from Maya road?? decided to put it to good use. hehe. Happy Birthday stamp is from Hero Arts. So happy I used some oldie but goodie stuff. :)

Wishing a happy weekend ahead.

You are treasured dear friends. I love you.

More pastel cards.

Hello Peeps,

Still having some lighting issues at home.

But here you go, two more simple cards.

Basically I just used scraps and sewed it, added a simple sentiment from my typewriter, some sequins & a wood veneer.

I may create more cards in this style so that I dont waste my scrap papers. :)

I think this is my favorite card. It looks prettier in person...really. Pastels and gold are match made in heaven. Loving how simple it is to create this card.

So maybe a prettier photo here eh? :)

And since it is wednesday, I'll just show you whats currently on my desk. Will be reorganizing my space this weekend. YAY! new look again.

Have a blessed Mid week!

Toodles.

Card ideas are kicking in...

BIG SMILES!!!!

Ya, I've been having some creative urges to create cards. LOL I kid you not. This time around, my taste has altered a little...i seem to want everything simple, like very little embellishments. Interesting isnt it?

Ok we are suffering from lack of natural lighting due to haze. Those living in Malaysia, drink loads of water & pack up on vitamin C.

Pastel colors for a change. :)

I love making birthday cards, coz they dont get wasted. A simple sentiment from my type writer.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sneak peak for another simple card...

Sushi making an appearance after a long hiatus. He's such a cutie & does his job well too. So proud of you. *winks*

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And on a side note. Cindy Lee gave birth to a healthy beautiful baby girl on Friday (28th Feb 2014). Lets welcome Annabell Kam! She's a beauty. Awwww
*Heart meltsss*

Smile, its a gonna be a great week!

Chipboard this time around...

Hello Peeps. How are you crafters doing?

It was a public holiday for us folks in Penang & it was lovely. Always happy to get a day off on Mondays. :)

So I spent my weekend in KL, visiting my family and some shopping time. Arrived back at home at 8pm last night and decided to make a card...mixing oldies with newbies.

Used Maya road chipboards which I hoarded quite a fair bit. Ink them with Pink Petunia & Sage green, kinda loving the soft tones...and of coz more of Maggie Holmes sticker & ephemera pack. The flower was given by Jessy Christopher. Thx sweetie!

Please excuse the messy background. ;)

Adding some washi tapes. The rainbow tape is from cardpuccino and the rest is from Typo, got it in the sale bin, RM10 for both. A steal!

PL sneak for Week 27, still a WIP state.

Quite a lazy Tuesday for me, dreaming of quitting my day job. Oh well, have a great week my dear friends.

Double post today? YAY!

Hello again. I found some time to craft last night due to a cancelled meeting. I attempted to scraplift a card from Cindy Lee, she is just one talented cardmaker/scrapbooker/crafty girl, she inspires me so more and at times pushes my boundaries on crafting. Thank you girl. I love you!

So whatdya think? :) Quite 'pirates of the caribbean' eh? *winks*

Hello Week 12!

Good morning lovelies,

How was your weekend? I had a wonderful one. :)

Have you noticed that there has been a lot of sudden deaths in the last few months? I made a conscious decision to spend more time with the people I love. It enriches the soul.

Anyways, I've not yet develop the photographs for Week 10, but I wanted to craft something...so here it is, a super simple card!

Wishing you a blessed week 12! Lots of love!.

He is the Reason..

As we begin Advent... I am reminded that HE is the reason for this season.

So many things to be grateful for 2012 and it is only by the Grace of God that I got this far. :) Indeed I am blessed. This is my season of rejoicing.

Let us take some time to reflect on the things we're grateful for and also for the things we're least grateful.

Wishing all my lovely friends a Blessed Season.

God Bless.
